Macau International Music Festival

The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government will be holding the
20th Macau International Music Festival (MIMF) from 6 October to 5 November 2006.
The 20th anniversary of the MIMF is celebrated with a touch of romanticism. Jazz, classical,
electronic, Chinese folk-pop, rock will fill Macau's autumn nights with magic.

Our Last Governor- Chris Patten, Not Quite the Diplomat
The Right Honourable Christopher Francis Patten, Baron Patten of Barnes, CH, PC,
was born 12 May 1944 is a prominent British Conservative politician. After Hong Kong's
handover to the People's Republic of China, Patten became the European Commissioner
for foreign relations.
On the blue-sky Saturday evening of July 22, 2006, Bookazine celebrated the
new book launching of Lord Patten’s book, Not Quite the Diplomat. Lord Patten
and 200 VIPS and guests were on hand to take in the festivities. It was a very unforgettable moment.

June 9, 2006 Championship Opening Match Party
German Industry & Commerce (GIC) and German Chamber of Commerce (GCC) celebrated
its Germany host country to the 2006 FIFA World Cup. More than 2,000 guests were
on hand to take in the festivities. Included Mr. Ekkehard Goetting, President, German
Chamber of Commerce (HK), Mr. Karl Kwok, VP of Sports Federation & Olympic Committee,
Mr. Yeung Tak Wah, JP, Chairman of HK Sports Association for the Mentally Handicapped
and Mr. Lai Sun Cheung, Coach, The HK Football Association Limited. Venue: Conrad Hotel Ballroom
