Bistro

If you think the “Iron Curtain” has always been an unpleasant
symbol, well, Bistro will surely change your perception of this legacy.
With a clever design strategy, Bistro has made use of the “Iron
Curtain” motif in transforming itself into a finely personalized
wonderland of dining. Behind the “curtain” (literally there
is a metal-curtain), you can watch the indulging crowds, and at the
same time you can have all the privacy and space you like. Miss Gillian
N. Villar will also enchant you with her sultry voice as she caresses
the lyrics of popular love songs.
Other than the unique ambience, the cuisine at Bistro makes me want
to raise my fork in salute to the Chef and the kitchen staff at Bistro.
To start with, I had the bread/dips starter witch included pesto, chopped
black olives, and hummus mixed with eggplant. My favorite was the grilled
cheese slice with a bit of anchovy on the top. The cheese was soft and
creamy and it went really well with the salted fish. It’s a must
try dish, believe me. I next moved to the risotto and squid-ink black
noodle with fresh seafood including clams, scallops and more. You like
steak? Well then you really have to give it a go at Bistro! It was tender
and juicy, but the most innovative way to enjoy it is with the mint
sauce, which we normally use on lamb. And so far, nowhere else in Hong
Kong you can get this combination other than at Bistro. Finally, I don’t
think you should miss out on Bistro’s gelato; its smooth texture
and almond aroma made my stomach sigh with delight.
I would recommend you visit Bistro on the weekend when you can chill
out with your friends, enjoy the food, and slip behind “the curtain”
for a few hours.
